This is a role for a detail-driven professional who understands the importance of programme certainty, financial discipline, and exceptional finish standards in premium customer-facing environments. Working across showroom refurbishments and fit-outs, you will be responsible for driving projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the exacting standards expected in prestige automotive retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from planning and procurement through to completion and client handover.
- Develop, maintain, and drive detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Implement robust programme controls, including critical path monitoring, short-term lookaheads, progress reporting, and recovery planning where needed.
- Take ownership of financial controls across the project, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, cost reporting, change control, and final account management.
- Monitor and manage subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, progress, and commercial accountability.
- Lead site teams and coordinate all stakeholders including clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure high-end finishes are delivered in line with brand standards, technical specifications, and client expectations.
- Identify project risks early and put effective mitigation plans in place.
- Oversee health and safety compliance and ensure works are delivered in line with all statutory and company requirements.
- Produce clear and accurate project reporting on progress, cost, risk, and programme status.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction, fit-out, or refurbishment.
- Strong background in high-specification commercial interiors, ideally within automotive retail, luxury retail, or similarly finish-sensitive environments.
- Demonstrable experience in programme management and programme control on fast-paced live projects.
- Strong commercial awareness with hands-on experience of budget management, cost control, forecasting, and valuations.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience working in the automotive showroom or a similar high-specification commercial interiors sector.
- Relevant construction qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications.
- Familiarity with contract administration and change management processes.
This is an opportunity to work on prestigious showroom environments where quality, brand presentation, and project control are critical. You will play a key role in delivering standout spaces that reflect some of the most recognisable automotive brands in the market. If you are a project manager with a strong eye for finish, a disciplined approach to programme delivery, and a sharp handle on financial performance, we would like to hear from you.
