My busy Retford based clients are currently seeking an experienced People Partner to support their central HR function within their Head Office Location. My clients are a Trust of local School Academies with multiple sites throughout the region. Role specific responsibilities * Operationally delivering strategies ensuring it supports the academy improvement plans and strategic objectives. * Drive engagement by ensuring completion of the People Survey ensuring agreed actions are implemented, there is effective follow up and continued measurement is in place. * Support the Head of People Attraction and Head of Staff Development to manage the attraction, development and succession processes to ensure there is an effective succession plan and talent pipeline. * Working with the leadership teams in a cluster of academies to ensure recruitment plans are in place which meet the needs of the academy both now and in the future. * Ensure leaders have people plans in place to ensure the organisation is fit to meet current and future needs. * Lead the analysis of current and proposed workforce staffing models. * Ensure staff performance is managed; support plans are in place where improvement is required, and policy and procedures are understood and adhered to. * Coaching managers to ensure they understand the importance of quality conversations with their teams and have the skills to conduct them. * Ensure effective people management processes such as absence, discipline, grievance, wellbeing and under performance are managed effectively. * Work closely with and support the People Advisor to ensure cases are being managed efficiently, advice and guidance is in place and guidance documents are regularly reviewed. * Take the lead online manager development programmes to ensure that all our line managers are effective at managing their teams. * Operationally lead the strategic need for change on staff structures and support leaders to build credible business cases including financial analysis, options and recommendations to maximise efficiency and meet improvement plans. * Engage with, and challenge, senior leaders about purpose, principles, process and benefits of change in staffing structures which are linked to the Academy Improvement Plans and future needs. * Ensure the effective development of trust induction processes and any follow-up training. * Analyse data on staff absence and turnover and produce an action plan to influence future strategy. * Lead and advise senior leaders on key consultations with trade unions on a range of people management issues, restructures and reduction programmes. * Review relevant employment law, regulations and policy in all areas of people management. The ideal candidate * Experience within a similar role. * Level 5 CIPD. * Knowledge of people/workforce planning and development processes that align internal resources with strategies to meet current and future needs * Experience of operationally delivering strategies related to engagement, retention and strong case management Desirable * Knowledge of schools/education sector * Experience of policy making mechanisms at trust, local and national levels particularly as they relate to education delivery Hours of Work * Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm Benefits * Enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme with an employer contribution of at least 14% * Operational support holidays 32 days + 8 bank holidays (full-time equivalent) * Health and Wellbeing support including occupational health services, eyecare vouchers for free eye tests and contribution towards glasses for display screen equipment users * Full support and induction This is being offered a hybrid role however will include travel between their academy settings and their head office.
