We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to support a Local Authority service. This role suits a professional driver who is safety-focused, reliable, and confident leading a small crew.

Shift Pattern:

  • 06:30 - 14:30
  • Includes flexibility for evenings and weekends

Key Requirements:

  • Valid Category C (HGV Class 2) licence and Driver CPC – essential
  • Experience carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and road safety procedures in traffic environments
  • Ability to lead a small crew, give clear instructions, and manage performance on daily routes
  • Competent using in-cab systems and software to record service delivery and incidents
  • Clear communication skills when working with colleagues and engaging with the public
  • Physically fit and flexible, able to work in all weather conditions
  • Professional, customer-focused approach, representing the Council to a high standard
