My client, a well-established Local Authority, is urgently seeking an experienced MOT Tester / Light Vehicle Technician to join their in-house fleet maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for stable hours and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out MOT testing (Class 4, 5 & 7 where licensed)
- Undertake vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard
- Ensure all work complies with DVSA legislation and safety standards
- Accurately complete job cards and records
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
- Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
- IMI Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent City & Guilds qualification) – essential
- MOT Tester Licence (Class 4, 5 & 7) – highly desirable
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach to work
- Monday to Friday
- 09:00 – 17:00
- No weekends
