My clients are currently seeking an Operational Buyer to join their highly skilled Supply Chain and Procurement Team with immediate effect. As a world-leading partner in future flight technologies, our client specialises in the design, development, manufacture and lifecycle support of propulsion systems for aeroengines. The Supply Chain and Procurement team is responsible for supplying over £100m of Aerospace product per annum from a global supply base.
The successful candidate will:
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers across a global supply base, ensuring delivery requirements are achieved in line with customer and business requirements.
- Create and manage supplier delivery schedules, working closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure product is delivered on time.
- Conduct regular order book reviews, identifying supply chain risks and opportunities and working collaboratively with Engineering, Commercial Buyers, Planning and customer-facing teams.
- Manage supplier invoice queries, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of suppliers across a global supply base

It is essential that the successful candidate:
- Has excellent communication and team-working skills
- Is PC literate and confident using standard IT systems
- Has the ability to work autonomously and manage their own workload
- Has a proven track record in problem solving
- Has a professional and flexible approach
- Is willing to travel when required
It is desirable that the successful candidate:
- Has working knowledge of SAP
- Has an understanding of planning, control, ERP processes and systems
- Has previous experience working within a Manufacturing or Production environment
- Has previous Aerospace Supply Chain experience
You will work as part of a highly skilled Supply Chain and Procurement Team, collaborating closely with Engineering, Commercial Buyers, Planning, suppliers and customer-facing teams. You will be working within a global Aerospace supply chain supporting the delivery of complex components and products across a range of commodities, including fabrications, assemblies, rings, seals and raw materials.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 16:30 (core hours)
