Senior Network Engineer - Juniper Mist & AI Specialist
Location: Welwyn Garden City, UK
Type: 6-Month Outside IR35 Contract
Rate: £500 per day

Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and fine-tune Juniper Mist wireless networks using Mist AI and Marvis Virtual Network Assistant.
- Lead end-to-end network transformation - migrations, upgrades, and large-scale deployments.
- Perform advanced RF design, wireless site surveys, and performance tuning for optimum reliability.
- Manage and troubleshoot Juniper Routing & Switching (EX, QFX, MX series).
- Leverage Mist's AI-driven insights for proactive monitoring, predictive analytics, and automation.
- Create detailed documentation, runbooks, and topology diagrams to support operational excellence.
- Collaborate across security, cloud, and systems teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Automate workflows and monitoring through APIs and scripting (Python preferred).
- Maintain network security, reliability, and SLA compliance.
Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise wired and wireless networks.
- Proven expertise with Juniper Mist AI and Junos OS across EX, QFX, and MX platforms.
- Strong understanding of 802.11x wireless protocols, RF design, and wireless security.
- Skilled with Mist AI dashboards, Marvis, analytics, and automation tools.
- Experience scripting with Python or similar automation languages.
- Familiar with security principles (NAC, segmentation, firewall integration).
Preferred Certifications
- Juniper Mist Certified Specialist or equivalent.
- JNCIA / JNCIP (Juniper Certified Associate or Professional).
- CWNP certifications (CWNA, CWDP).
- Fortinet NSE or CCNP/CCNA certifications are a plus.
