A trusted UK Central Government technology programme is looking for an experienced Security Cleared Senior Java Developer. Remote • Permanent. The role involves working on mission-critical systems that support national infrastructure and offers fully remote work across legacy and modern platforms.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for designing, coding, reviewing, and unit testing applications in the Java ecosystem.
- You will collaborate with developers, testers and DevOps, contribute to automated test reviews, and help maintain and enhance existing legacy systems.
- You will also work alongside teams responsible for infrastructure changes using Docker, Ansible, Python, and Linux.
Key Requirements
- Active SC Clearance
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong Java expertise
- Solid hands-on experience with Java 8, Spring, Maven, Git, and JUnit
- Strong experience with Web APIs - REST/JSON and XML/SOAP
- Proven ability to deliver on complex, maintenance and enhancement-focused programmes
