About The Role
As a Junior Product Development Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in the R&D team, contributing to the design, prototyping, and testing of advanced nebulisation technologies. Your work will directly influence the next generation of drug delivery devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to drive product development forward.
- Support development and optimisation of nebuliser technologies.
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions.
- Generate, evaluate, and develop new design concepts.
- Prototype components and design test fixtures.
- Conduct and troubleshoot experiments to verify technical solutions.
- Assist with 3D printing and prototype assembly.
- Record, analyse, and interpret experimental results accurately.
- Work in compliance with ISO13485 standards.
- Contribute to risk management activities (e.g., dFMEA).
- Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment.
About You
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc/BEng (or equivalent) in product design, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a product development role (exceptional recent graduates will also be considered).
- Practical experience with component design, prototyping, and use of lab/test equipment.
- Comfortable working in both dry and wet lab environments.
- Understanding of experimental design and data analysis.
Desirable Skills
- 3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks or similar).
- Experience with statistical tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
- Simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Basic programming (Python, Arduino IDEs).
- Familiarity with mechanical workshop tools and techniques.
