Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to enhance their networking solutions. This is your chance to work with cutting‑edge technology and drive impactful change on a high‑profile, nationally critical project. This will initially run for 6 months, with likely extensions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation: Architect, configure, and maintain network infrastructure utilizing Juniper, Palo Alto, and Cisco devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Network Management: Oversee LAN, WAN, and VPN operations across multiple locations, ensuring seamless connectivity and security.
- Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor and diagnose network issues to minimise downtime and maintain high standards of service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional architecture and security teams to integrate advanced solutions and improve network scalability and resilience.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of the network topology, configuration changes, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, and Cisco network devices.
- Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies (VLANs, LACP).
- Proven experience deploying and maintaining network services in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (desirable).
- Strong capability in integrating network monitoring and automation tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills complemented by a collaborative team‑oriented approach.
- Must hold active SC or DV clearance.
- Sole British National.
- Able to work up to 3 days per week in Central London.
