£40,000 - £45,000
I'm working with a long-established company in North Manchester that's in the middle of a major technology transformation, modernising a suite of in-house applications that support the full customer journey - from onboarding and billing through to operations and service. They're now looking to bring in a QA Engineer ASAP to support fast-moving sprint teams and help maintain quality across both legacy and next-gen platforms. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you'll be closely embedded with developers, product, and real users (who sit onsite), playing a key role in keeping releases smooth and reliable.
The role
- Support sprint cycles with thorough functional testing
- Run smoke tests and regression testing across applications
- Collaborate closely with developers to catch issues early and improve quality
- Log, track, and manage defects using Jira
- Engage with users to understand real-world behaviour and edge cases
There's also the opportunity to get involved in test automation if that's something you already have experience with (or are keen to develop).
What we’re seeking
- 2+ years' experience in QA / software testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Comfortable using Jira or similar tools
- Strong communication skills - collaborative and user-facing
- Test automation experience (a bonus, not essential)
What’s On Offer
- Hybrid working from their North Manchester office (3 days remote / 2 onsite)
- A genuinely flexible, supportive working culture
- Preference for someone available immediately or on short notice
