iO are working with an established and rapidly growing Digital agency in their search for two experienced Technical Test Engineers. They work with global technology leaders to provide digital transformation services to a number of customers in industries including not-for-profit, financial services and the public sector.
You will bring years of experience, understanding and practical application in all levels and types of testing and a good understanding and usage of AWS services to assist in the set-up and triggering of test conditions.
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing solutions delivered in a custom microservices and architecture project, executing tests from a backend and front-end UI perspective, in accordance with the criteria in user stories. You will be writing and executing manual test cases, carrying out positive and negative testing, accessibility testing and scripting and carrying out documented exploratory testing.
Must have experience in testing one or more of the following:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in BOTH testing and test leadership
- Experience of testing web-based solutions built in a microservices architecture where some of the testing is in the back end microservices, using AWS to trigger services and events to aid test execution, and set up of conditions and set up of data as well as testing at the UI layer
- Hands-on understanding and experience with API testing
- Experience in AWS and Docker
- Familiar with test and bug management tools and processes, specifically JIRA and Zephyr Enterprise
- Ability to develop functional tests, which exercise the UI, API and DB layers
