iO Associates are partnered with a leading R&D organisation in their search for a Dev Engineer with Active SC Clearance. You’ll be working close to the hardware and operating system, supporting the design, build and automation of the infrastructure.
Location: 2-3 days / week on-site in London
Day Rate: £500 - £550 / day Outside IR35
Contract: 6 Months
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong Linux engineering skills (Ubuntu, RHEL or similar)
- Proven experience in on-premise, hybrid or hardware-adjacent environments
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python preferred, but Bash, Go, or similar also valued)
- Good knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Ansible, CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, PowerShell, Git etc.)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
- A methodical, problem-solving mindset - able to diagnose difficult, low-level issues
- Someone pragmatic, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-moving build phase
