A globally recognised engineering, design, and project management consultancy is seeking an experienced Resident MEP Project Engineer to support the delivery of multiple fit-out and infrastructure projects at Stansted Airport. This is a contract opportunity within a complex, operational aviation environment, supporting both design and on-site execution phases.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and wider stakeholders to ensure high-quality project delivery across multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Support project delivery from design through to on-site implementation.
- Manage and coordinate contractor drawing submissions and SME reviews via Aconex.
- Track and ensure timely close-out of design comments and actions.
- Lead design management activities and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Review and respond to technical queries related to contractor designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain programme, quality, and safety standards.
- Support delivery in a live operational airport environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering fit-out projects, ideally within aviation, transport, or similarly complex environments.
- Strong understanding of MEP design coordination and technical reviews.
- Experience using document control and collaboration platforms such as Aconex.
- Ability to manage contractor submissions and resolve design-related technical queries.
- HNC or equivalent qualification (essential).
- BPSS vetting required.
