Rate: £650-£700 per day (Inside IR35)

We are supporting a major UK Government department that is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help design, build, and run critical digital services. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys technical ownership, mentoring others, and improving the resilience and security of live systems.
Key Experience
- Strong backend development in two or more languages (Python, Node.js/JavaScript, Ruby)
- End-to-end full stack experience including modern frontend frameworks and accessibility standards
- Experience building cloud-hosted services (AWS, serverless/FaaS)
- Containerisation and microservices using Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of authentication, authorisation, and web security best practices
- Modern engineering practices: TDD, automated testing, CI/CD, GitHub, IaC (Terraform)
- Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments, both independently and collaboratively
Desirable
- Experience with .NET / ASP.NET Core
- Exposure to Azure or GCP
