DevOps Engineer - AWS Infrastructure

Location: Suffolk (4 days office-based, 1 day remote)

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum

I\’m currently supporting an innovative Software Development business that delivers software solutions to government and law enforcement agencies, who are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their UK infrastructure team

You will need to either hold existing SC Clearance, or be eligible and willing to be sponsored through both SC and NPPV3 Clearance.

As a DevOps Engineer, you\’ll be hands-on in building, automating, and scaling AWS cloud infrastructure. You\’ll support development, QA, product, and operations teams to ensure smooth software releases, reliable systems, and strong security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Building and managing environments to support software releases
• Maintaining and improving secure, scalable and cost efficient cloud infrastructure
• Automating deployments, monitoring, and system health checks
• Supporting containerisation and orchestration
• Working closely with developers to integrate best practices into the release pipeline
• Troubleshooting infrastructure, networking, and performance issues
• Continuously improving system security and compliance

Experience Required

• Strong knowledge of AWS (or another major cloud platform)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or similar)
• Hands-on understanding of Docker and ECS (or equivalent)
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Solid grounding in networking, DNS, load balancing, and security

The role is based predominantly on-site in Suffolk (4 days per week) and will be paying up to £60,000 per annum.
