A globally recognised engineering, design, and project management consultancy is seeking an Architect / Architectural Technologist to join its Birmingham Studio on a contract basis. The organisation delivers complex, high-profile projects across the built environment, infrastructure, transportation, and public sectors, working at the forefront of design excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver architectural design from concept through detailed design, construction, and completion.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Take responsibility for defined work packages, ensuring quality, compliance, budget, and programme adherence.
- Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, standards, and sector-specific requirements (e.g. Network Rail).
- Prepare high-quality design documentation, reports, and client presentations.
Requirements
- RIBA Part 3 qualification or CIAT accreditation (essential).
- Experience on complex UK projects; rail/transport, commercial, or public sector experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NBS specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bentley/OpenBuildings Designer, and Adobe Suite (Enscape/V-Ray desirable).
