Your Mission
To support the growth of Inovance’s UK business by acting as the technical authority for our automation solutions. You will work with Sales and customers to develop and validate robust application solutions across the full customer lifecycle, ensuring technical success from pre‑sales through commissioning and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the UK technical authority for Inovance solutions, working with Sales to develop and validate robust application solutions across the full customer lifecycle.
- Lead technical engagement with customers to understand application requirements and define appropriate system architectures, including AC drives, servo systems, motion control, PLCs, and integrated automation solutions.
- Ensure robust technical solutions through product selection, sizing, application design, and technical risk assessment, providing technical input and BOM validation for proposals.
- Lead advanced pre‑sales activities including application reviews, technical workshops, proof‑of‑conception demonstrations, and technical presentations.
- Provide technical coordination and support for projects from order through commissioning, including advanced troubleshooting where required.
- Provide post‑sales technical support, application training, and technical guidance where required for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Act as the primary technical interface with European support teams and China HQ, managing technical escalations and supporting root‑cause analysis.
This is a hands‑on role within a growing UK operation where flexibility and close collaboration with Sales and internal teams are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years hands‑on technical application experience with at least one: HMIs, motion control, and automation solutions.
- PLC / IEC 61131‑3 programming (CODESYS or equivalent).
- Direct application expertise within one or more key strategic sectors: HVAC and Air Compressor applications, Printing & Packaging Machinery, Food & Beverage Processing & Packaging, Air Compressor & Pneumatic Systems.
- Strong technical expertise combined with a practical understanding of commercial project requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels of a customer’s organization.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset suited to a hands‑on role within a growing UK organisation.
Location & Travel
Home‑based within the UK, with regular travel to customer sites and periodic presence at the Manchester office for collaboration, training, and technical activities. Occasional international travel to European locations and China HQ.
