Your Mission
To grow Inovance’s UK business by winning new customers, developing key accounts, and driving revenue across our industrial automation portfolio. You will act as the face of Inovance in the UK, owning the commercial relationship from initial engagement through quotation to order closure. The role combines new business development and account management, working closely with Applications Engineering and European sales, technical, and marketing teams to support opportunities and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop target accounts and build a strong pipeline to drive revenue growth across key industrial sectors.
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with key decision makers at OEMs, system integrators, and end users, acting as the primary commercial owner for your accounts.
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial prospecting and opportunity qualification through technical discussion, proposal, negotiation, and order closure.
- Conduct customer discussions to understand application requirements and define appropriate solutions, working with internal technical resources where required.
- Prepare commercial quotations and proposals, coordinating technical input where required, and maintain commercial ownership through order processing, delivery follow-up, and customer communication.
- Act as the primary customer interface for commercial matters, service coordination, and warranty issues, working with Applications Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
- Work closely with European sales, technical, and marketing teams to support opportunities and campaigns, while providing market, customer, and competitive feedback to support business development and product positioning.
This is a hands-on role within a growing UK operation where flexibility, ownership, and close collaboration are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of technical sales, business development, or solutions engineering experience in industrial automation, drives, or motion control.
- Technical appreciation of one or more of:
- Variable speed drives & servo drives
- HMIs, motion control, and automation solutions
- PLC / IEC 61131-3 programming (CODESYS or equivalent)
- Industrial fieldbus
- HVAC and Air Compressor applications
- Printing & Packaging Machinery
- Food & Beverage Processing & Packaging
- Test Rigs & Industrial Test Equipment
Location & Travel
Home-based within the UK, with regular travel to customer sites, periodic visits to the Manchester office, and occasional international travel to European locations and global headquarters in Shenzhen.
