As a Technical Training Specialist at Inotiv, you’ll be responsible for leading and overseeing technical training, competency management and compliance activities for our UK operations. You’ll ensure that animal welfare and Culture of Care principles are embedded throughout training, competency frameworks and operational practices, supporting consistent scientific, operational and regulatory standards across UK operations.

You’ll support global training initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of the UK technical training roadmap, ensuring training programmes, competency systems and governance processes are practical, standardised and effectively integrated into operational practice. You’ll maintain oversight of training governance, competency compliance and audit readiness, working collaboratively with operational, veterinary and functional stakeholders to support capability development and continuous improvement across the organisation within the UK regulatory framework.

About you: You’re an experienced training and development professional; you know what good looks like, and can challenge people on their ideas. You’re not somebody who has owned an established training and development system, and successfully managed it. Instead you’re somebody who works to understand what a company’s training needs are, and actively builds and establishes the systems they need - then delivers the training. It would be great if you come from a life-science background, but don’t worry if you’re not. What’s important is that you’re a qualified training and development professional.

You’re a hands-on doer, you’re enthusiastic, a people person who wants to get to know your stakeholders and solve their problems. You’re collaborative, you have the ability to translate operational and regulatory requirements into structured training solutions that strengthen consistency, compliance and operational capability. You have strong interpersonal skills, and can build relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Location/Benefits: This is a full-time, 24-month fixed-term contract, based at our Hillcrest site in Belton (Dodgeford Road, Belton, LE12 9TE). A starting salary of £37,580 (or more, depending on experience). 33 days holiday (inc. 8 public holidays). Due to the nature of this role, candidates cannot have pet rodents (mice, rats or guinea-pigs), rabbits, or animals that feed on rodents (snakes or birds) for biosecurity reasons. Candidates must be able to drive due to no public transport as we're in a rural location.
