We’re looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly, dedicated maintenance team that looks after a specialist site in Belton (near Loughborough). This site has a wide range of equipment and an opportunity to make each day different. You’ll be carrying out planned maintenance and repairs across a range of mechanical and electrical systems and helping to keep the site running smoothly and safely. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in improvement projects and drive changes that really make a difference.

What you’ll be doing- Electrical work – lighting, sockets, and fault-finding including upgrades and small project work
- Maintaining air handling equipment (filters, belts, pulleys)
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and building systems
- Operating and maintaining steam systems (including high-pressure boilers and fittings)
- Maintaining hot and cold water systems, pumps, and chemical dosing systems
- Working with BMS (Trend Vision) systems, valves, actuators, and motor controllers
- Servicing drainage and effluent systems
- Occasionally working on DALI computerised lighting systems
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in on-site maintenance (electrical or mechanical bias)
- Ideally completed an electrical apprenticeship or holds up-to-date electrical installation regs (mechanical qualifications also considered)
- Is confident using a computer or maintenance software (CAFM experience is a plus)
- Enjoys taking ownership of work and finding solutions independently
- Can adapt when priorities change — flexibility is key here
- Works well as part of a supportive team and helps others when needed
- Has a good understanding of safe working practices and health & safety
This is a permanent, full-time position (Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:15. Working 1 weekend in 4, 3 hours a day) based at our site located in Belton, outside Loughborough. We work on-call (1 in 4).
- Starting salary of £36,000
- 33 days’ holiday (including 8 bank holidays)

You’ll need a driving licence as public transport to the site is limited.
