Job Description
As a Civil Engineer in our engineering business, you will play a critical role in delivering our exciting and varied civil engineering projects alongside a team of like‑minded and highly skilled civil and structural engineers. You will champion excellence within the discipline, provide guidance and support to our junior engineers and have unparalleled opportunities for career development in a fast‑growing consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support the development of outline and detailed design for a wide array of civil engineering projects
- Follow check and approve procedures throughout project delivery
- Undertake the duties of designer as highlighted in CDM/CSM legislation
- Engage with clients and support successful project delivery
- Contribute to company goals and business improvement
- Continue your own professional development
- Support junior staff development
Required Experience
- A relevant degree and working towards chartership with a membership of an applicable institution
- Strong technical skills in civil engineering design and in the railway industry, including an understanding of Network Rail standards
- Knowledge of civil design and construction principles and standards
- Strong team‑working skills
- Proficient in the use of computer‑analysis programmes e.g. TEDDS and Supersuite
- Knowledge of producing drawings by using 2D/3D MicroStation
- A full UK Driving Licence (essential)
