We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the relaunch of a 129-bedroom upper-scale lifestyle hotel in the Oxfordshire/Cotswolds area. This is a rare opportunity to front the UK debut of an international lifestyle hotel brand, shaping the team, culture and guest experience from the ground up. The hotel will be neighbourhood-led, locally connected and full of personality, with a strong restaurant offer and a clear focus on creating a distinctive experience for both guests and the team alike.

The successful candidate will bring proven hotel leadership experience, preferably with opening, relaunch or rebranding exposure, and the confidence to build a high-performing team around a new brand proposition. Beyond the day-to-day, this is a role with real creative and commercial weight. The person who steps into it will leave a lasting impression on how this brand is experienced in the UK for years to come.

The role is supported by InnPractice, a high-performance hospitality partner whose senior leadership team brings extensive experience across global hotel brands, operators, asset management and hospitality advisory.

The ideal candidate should have previous General Manager or senior hotel leadership experience, preferably within an upper-scale, lifestyle, boutique or full-service hotel environment. They should have strong operational leadership credentials, with the ability to oversee rooms, food and beverage, guest and employee experience, commercial performance and day-to-day hotel standards. Experience building, developing and motivating teams will be essential. The role needs someone who understands that the team experience directly shapes the guest experience.

They should be commercially confident, with a solid grasp of revenue, profitability, cost control and operational efficiency. They should be comfortable leading through change, particularly in a relaunch, repositioning or rebranding environment. They will need strong brand advocacy skills, with the ability to bring a new lifestyle proposition to life through service, community engagement, local partnerships and guest touchpoints.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Hotel opening, pre-opening or major relaunch experience at General Manager or Hotel Manager level.
  • Experience with an international lifestyle, boutique or upper-scale hotel brand.
  • Previous exposure to brand conversion or rebranding projects.
  • Knowledge of the Oxford, Oxfordshire or Cotswolds market.
  • Experience creating local partnerships, neighbourhood programming or guest itineraries.
  • Strong food and beverage awareness, particularly for hotels where the restaurant plays a central role in the guest experience.
  • Experience working within a branded global ecosystem while retaining a strong local hotel identity.
  • Experience of recruiting and building teams and a track record of leading a team to achieve the highest standards of guest service.
  • Experience reporting to owners, investors or asset managers.
