Working on this important investor client contract, you will be enthusiastic about contributing to our vision by:

  • Working in conjunction with the Associate Director, Statutory Compliance Manager, Building Remediation Manager and Communications Manager to pro-actively manage major operational issues across the Building Safety Team within the Aviva portfolio and to ensure that the landlord’s obligations are effectively managed, and the Asset Manager’s requirements are fully met.
  • Supporting the Associate Director in monitoring performance ensuring all assets are maintained safely and fully compliant with statutory requirements.

This role reports to the Associate Director of Asset Management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively managing operational issues related to Building safety and remediation ensuring that the landlord’s obligations are effectively managed, and the Asset Manager’s requirements are fully delivered.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to seek solutions to resolve escalated operational site issues.
  • Proactively manage contractors, consultants, and other professional advisors to ensure they efficiently support the Asset Manager.
  • Attend site meetings with developers, third party managing agents, RMCs and leaseholders as required.
  • Acting as representative for the Asset Manager with ad-hoc issues as they arise between leaseholders, residents and managing agents.
  • Provide advice on buildings, projects, and management issues to the Asset Management team, as necessary.
  • Managing complaint escalations and performance concerns with any third-party Managing Agent performance.
  • Consult with internal specialists and group support services to deliver a seamless end to end service to the fund.
  • Support other Asset Management activity as required.
  • Be available to be the focal point of out-of-hours function and engage with crisis management escalations on a rotational basis.

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Preferably IRPM/RICS qualified with 5+ years management experience working with a complex property portfolio.
  • A working understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and other relevant legislation pertaining to Building Safety is highly desirable.
  • Experience of managing mixed-use and complex residential portfolios essential.
  • Enjoys the buzz of working in a high-pressure, results-driven environment with the need to meet multiple deadlines and juggle priorities.
  • Confident, open, and articulate communicator both orally and in writing; with exceptional relationship building skills.
  • Good knowledge of supporting clients in relation to operational and building safety in Multi-storey, Multi-occupied Residential Buildings.
  • Excellent IT skills and up to date with modern technology.
