Main Purpose of Job
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Reinstatement Cost Assessment Assistant Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, you will be inspecting buildings, analysing construction information and preparing accurate assessments to ensure clients have appropriate insurance coverage. This role is ideal for someone that is a natural self-starter who thrives on working with data and is driven to achieve targets.
Position in Organisation
This role reports to the RCA Surveying Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections to assess building structure, materials and condition
- Undertake external measurements and produce sketch plans
- Apply current building cost data from recognised sources to produce reliable costings
- Identify any unique or complex features affecting the reinstatement cost including listed status, specialist materials or non-standard construction
- Prepare Reinstatement Cost Assessments in accordance with industry standards
- Provide updates to the client as the case progresses
- Keep status of case load up to date on CRM system
- Ensure full compliance with the company policies
Experience
No formal surveying qualifications are required as full training is given. Interest in training to progress towards being a Surveyor is an advantage and may be available following a qualifying period for the right candidate.
