The Role
As an Insurance Administrator, you will be a key part of the Knight Square Insurance team, supporting the administration of new business, mid‑term adjustments, and renewals for our insurance customers. This role is well suited to someone at an early stage of their career who is highly organised, confident using Excel, and keen to build a long‑term career within the insurance industry. You don’t need prior insurance experience — we’ll provide full training — but you must be comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and structured processes. You will mainly focus on administration tasks, working closely with the wider team to ensure high standards of customer service, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

This role reports into the Insurance Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Liaising with clients, brokers, and insurers in the day‑to‑day administration of insurance policies.
- Preparing and issuing new business and renewal quotations.
- Using Excel on a regular basis to manage data, track policies, support reporting, and ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining and updating internal systems and records with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ensuring stakeholders are regularly updated in a timely and professional manner.
- Responding to client queries via email, telephone, and post.
- Supporting the wider team in achieving Knight Square Insurance’s strategic and operational goals.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including confidence with formulas, data entry, and structured spreadsheets.
- Good general IT skills, including Microsoft Word.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous customer service or office‑based experience.
- Awareness of FCA obligations within insurance (training will be provided).
Personal Attributes:
- Eager to learn and develop a career in insurance.
- Self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks.
