We’re working with a leading name in automated materials handling solutions who are seeking an Integration Test Engineer to join their growing team in Northampton. As an Integration Test Engineer, you’ll play a key part in implementing new automation systems and upgrading existing ones. Your role will involve designing and executing test strategies, from functional tests to full system acceptance on-site. You'll act as a bridge between technical teams and clients, ensuring that systems meet requirements and perform seamlessly in real-world operations. This is a hybrid role, blending remote work with regular travel to customer sites for system commissioning and testing. You’ll be working with diverse teams, including software, controls, mechanical, and electrical engineers.

  • Create and manage test strategies, plans, and scripts
  • Lead commissioning and testing activities at client sites
  • Support project delivery during early-life phases
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and readiness
  • Take part in design reviews to offer test and operational insights

Desirable (Not Essential) Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent in a technical field
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications
  • QA/testing experience in automation or related environments
  • Experience with automated warehouse systems and WMS integration
  • Understanding of PLCs and sensor technologies in industrial automation
