We are seeking an experienced Software Technical Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership within an automation and intralogistics environment. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who actively writes and reviews code, has managed and supported other developers, and can lead the technical delivery of complex software solutions, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). This is not a purely managerial role. The successful candidate must deeply understand code and be comfortable working close to the detail while guiding others.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Act as the technical authority across software projects within automation and intralogistics systems
- Lead solution design, architecture, and technical decision-making
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Review code and provide hands-on technical support to developers
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues
- Hands-On Development
- Actively contribute to the codebase using .NET and Python
- Support development of software solutions integrating with WMS, automation platforms, and material handling systems
- Balance delivery speed with long-term system stability and scalability
- People Management & Mentoring
- Line-manage and mentor software developers
- Provide day-to-day technical guidance and support to direct reports
- Support skill development, knowledge sharing, and best practices
- Conduct technical reviews and contribute to performance and development discussions
Required Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Proven experience as a Software Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Senior Software Engineer
- Demonstrable experience managing and technically supporting other developers
- Strong, hands-on coding experience with .NET and Python
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system integration
- Background in automation, intralogistics, warehouse systems, or industrial software
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Must understand code deeply — able to design, review, debug, and improve it
What We’re Looking For
- A hands-on technical leader, not a people manager detached from code
- Someone comfortable guiding developers while remaining deeply technical
- A pragmatic problem-solver with strong communication skills
- A leader who can balance delivery, quality, and mentoring
