With decades of industry experience, the organisation has built a strong reputation across retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, and distribution sectors. They specialise in delivering tailored solutions that optimise storage, picking, and overall fulfilment efficiency. Their capabilities include conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and intelligent warehouse control software.
Key responsibilities:
- Sourcing and negotiation:
- Issue enquiries for quotations from potential suppliers.
- Expedite, evaluate, and process quotations.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Identify cost savings opportunities.
- Raise and expedite purchase orders on the company's ERP system.
- Investigate and resolve supply-related problems, such as late deliveries, shortages, or damaged goods.
- Ensure stock levels are managed accurately and materials are available when needed.
- Manage the expediting of goods through to final delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality issues and manage relationships.
- Communicate status information to internal stakeholders.
- Work with the finance department to resolve invoice queries.
- Liaise with international/European freight forwarders for imported goods.
- Maintain up-to-date purchase order files and other relevant documentation.
- Provide administrative support for the purchasing team.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Experience in a purchasing or logistics environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
