We’re looking for a hands-on IT System Administrator to support users at a local European site while working closely with a central IT function. You’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day IT support, keeping systems running smoothly and ensuring a great user experience. This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and being the local IT expert - without the pressure of people management.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide first-line, on-site IT support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Resolve incidents locally and escalate complex issues to central IT
- Act as the main IT contact for local users
- Install, maintain, and manage end-user devices and peripherals
- Coordinate repairs and vendors; maintain IT asset inventory
- Monitor local network components and support basic patching/cabling
- Manage user accounts and access rights (Active Directory)
- Implement local IT security standards and handle security incidents
- Support IT rollouts, upgrades, and continuous service improvements
- Collaboration with central IT team on VPN and WAN issues (read only)
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- IT-related qualification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows client environments
- Experience with Active Directory
- Basic understanding of networks and Windows Server environments
- Confidence supporting printer hardware and peripherals
- Good communication skills in English
