We're working with a leading automated distribution warehouse based in Wednesbury, currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team. The role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping the site's automated systems running efficiently and safely. You'll be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and supporting ongoing optimisation projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance on conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, and other automated equipment
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns and diagnosing faults to minimise downtime
  • Completing PPMs and keeping maintenance systems up to date
  • Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects across the site
  • Working closely with operations to maintain uptime and performance targets

About you:

  • Time‐served Maintenance Engineer or Multi‐skilled Technician (electrical or mechanical bias)
  • Experience working in an automated warehouse, logistics, or fast‐paced distribution environment
  • Strong fault‐finding skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC‐controlled systems
  • Proactive, hands‐on, confident working in a shift‐based engineering team
  • Positive attitude with a focus on safety and reliability
