We're working with a leading automated distribution warehouse based in Wednesbury, currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team. The role:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping the site's automated systems running efficiently and safely. You'll be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and supporting ongoing optimisation projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance on conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, and other automated equipment
- Responding quickly to breakdowns and diagnosing faults to minimise downtime
- Completing PPMs and keeping maintenance systems up to date
- Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects across the site
- Working closely with operations to maintain uptime and performance targets
About you:
- Timeāserved Maintenance Engineer or Multiāskilled Technician (electrical or mechanical bias)
- Experience working in an automated warehouse, logistics, or fastāpaced distribution environment
- Strong faultāfinding skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLCācontrolled systems
- Proactive, handsāon, confident working in a shiftābased engineering team
- Positive attitude with a focus on safety and reliability
