Siemens PLC Controls Engineer – Conveyor Systems £450 per day | Contract | Start 2nd March 6 weeks in Coventry + UK travel We are currently seeking an experienced Siemens PLC Controls Engineer with strong conveyor systems experience for a fast-moving warehouse automation project starting 2nd March. This is a contract position paying £450 per day, with an initial 6-week on-site requirement in Coventry, followed by travel across UK project sites. The Role You will be responsible for the programming, modification and commissioning of conveyor and sortation systems within live distribution centre environments. Key Requirements * Strong Siemens PLC experience (TIA Portal / S7) * Proven experience working on conveyor systems * On-site commissioning experience in live DC environments * Experience with: * Pallet conveyor systems * Tote conveyors * MDR (Motor Driven Roller) * Zero Pressure Accumulation (ZPA) * Sortation systems (cross-belt, tilt tray, sliding shoe) * Diverters, merges, accumulation logic * Fault finding, I/O checks and system modifications * Ability to travel across UK sites after initial Coventry phase Desirable * Integration with WCS / barcode scanning systems * Previous experience working for warehouse automation / material handling integrators The Project You will be supporting a large-scale distribution centre automation rollout, working as part of an experienced commissioning team. This is a high-throughput environment, so previous live site experience is essential.
