We are currently recruiting for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a well-established residential care home based in Lymington. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. You will support their emotional well-being, behavioural development, and daily routines while ensuring safeguarding standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and support within a children's residential setting
- Support emotional, behavioural, and social development
- Promote independence, dignity, and well-being
- Follow strict safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Assist with daily routines (meals, education, activities, bedtime)
- Maintain accurate care plans, logs, and reports
- Work effectively within a team-based care environment
Shift Patterns (Rota)
- Waking Night Shifts
- Rolling 2-week rota:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday
- 07:30 – 21:30
- 06:30 – 20:30
- 14:30 – 21:30
Flexibility is essential as shifts are based on service requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in Children's Residential Care / Support Work
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) – Desirable
- Strong knowledge of Safeguarding & Child Protection
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour professionally
- Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
- Must have full right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)
