We are currently recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join an Ofsted Outstanding children’s home in Hayling Island.
You will be supporting young people aged 5–18, providing a safe, caring and nurturing environment while helping them develop confidence, independence and important life skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Support young people with their emotional, social and practical needs
- Build positive and trusting relationships
- Provide encouragement, structure and consistent support
- Support children during challenging situations in a calm and patient manner
- Encourage independence and positive decision-making
- Take part in activities and days out
- Support day-to-day household duties including cooking, cleaning and laundry
- Maintain a safe and supportive residential environment
What We Are Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, energetic and patient approach
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins
- Full UK driving licence is beneficial
Previous experience within children’s residential care would be advantageous. However, candidates with transferable experience from nurseries, education, adult supported living, challenging behaviour, sports or supporting vulnerable people will also be considered.
