As our Junior Medical Writer at Innovative Trials, your primary focus is providing research support and assisting in the creation of high‑quality medical communications content in specific therapeutic areas. Working closely with Medical Writers, study teams, and key stakeholders, you will help translate complex clinical information into clear, compliant, and engaging content for healthcare professionals and patients.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Life Science degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Systems: Proficiency in standard medical communication tools, presentation software, and content management platforms.
  • Expertise: A background or foundational experience in medical writing within healthcare and/or a medical communications agency. High level of attention to detail and ability to interpret clinical protocols.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to write compelling, creative, and simplified prose within the field of science; strong collaborative skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
  • Adaptability: A strong passion for healthcare/medical communications alongside the proven ability to successfully juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Job Content & Development (Content Creation): Support the development of clear, accurate, and engaging medical communications content by working with Medical Writers to create presentations, articles, educational materials, and other communication assets across a range of formats. Conduct research and maintain clinical knowledge to ensure content is scientifically accurate, relevant, and aligned with developments in therapeutic areas and project needs.
  • Quality & Compliance (Editing and Proofreading): Ensure all developed content strictly complies with industry/regulatory guidelines and company standards. Maintain absolute accuracy across all methods and channels of communication. Review and understand complex clinical protocols, including Schedules of Assessments, to accurately inform content. Comply fully with established company policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Cross‑Functional Working & Continuous Learning: Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, actively contributing to team discussions, and supporting content development and project planning. Maintain and develop medical writing expertise by staying current with clinical research and regulatory developments, while participating in training and professional development activities to enhance writing skills and industry knowledge.
