Position Overview: As a TechOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role within the Group IT Team, primarily responsible for managing and maintaining Windows and Active Directory systems across the organization. Your expertise in patch management, software deployment, and installation image management using SCCM, InTune, and Auto Patch is essential. Experience with Entra ID and Azure is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Powershell Scripting
  • Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Systems Admin experience
  • Security Remediations: Implement best practice recommendations to enhance security.
  • System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain Active Directory/Azure Active Directory.
  • Patching: Perform system and application patching.
  • Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy and maintain IT infrastructure, with VMware & Hyper-V experience being advantageous.
  • Architecture Design: Design new IT infrastructure and document existing architecture.
  • Updates & Installations: Deploy updates and new installations via InTune.
  • Device Management: Manage devices using Intune.
  • Image Development: Develop server and laptop images hardened against security standards.
  • Autopilot Management: Manage the Autopilot deployment system.
  • BCP/DR Plans: Ensure BCP/DR plans include restoration of Windows Infrastructure and are fully tested.
  • Automation Development: Develop automation for operational tasks using PowerShell scripts.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Patch Management: Ensure the Windows estate is fully patched, troubleshoot and address failures and gaps in patching.
  • Deployment Packages: Build deployment packages for release on SCCM/InTune.
  • Patch Dependency: Check patch dependencies and submit change requests.
  • System Changes: Perform system changes to support vulnerability mitigation.
  • Policy Management: Manage GPOs and Intune policies in accordance with standards.
  • Domain Controller Management: Oversee domain controller management.

Key Skills, Experiences & Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in building and maintaining Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory systems.
  • Patch Deployment: Extensive experience with patch deployment and endpoint compliance using SCCM and InTune.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and relationship building within a global organization.
  • Adaptability: Enthusiastic and highly adaptable, with a willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Additional Experience: Experience with Qualys is advantageous; GxP exposure is desirable but not essential.
  • Scripting: Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
