We are a high‑volume advanced manufacturer of precise electromagnetic components and subassemblies, working on vehicle electrification and advanced electrical motors for well‑recognised global customers. Responsibilities
- Design and develop new tooling schemes for specific part details.
- Produce prototypes including limited production of parts.
- Engineer responsibility for press tooling.
- Troubleshoot production issues on existing equipment.
- Lead production improvement initiatives.
- Participate in design reviews for new and current products.
- Write specifications for new equipment for developing products.
- Project‑manage the introduction of new machines and train others on new processes.
- Present solutions and ideas to the wider team (manufacturing, engineering, quality).
Technical Expertise
- Multilevel press setting
- Single level mechanical & hydraulic press setting
- Rotary presses
- Martensitic moulding
- Grinding processes
- Heat treatment processes
- Working understanding of automotive APQP.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or apprenticeship route.
- Ideally 3+ years in a similar role.
- Hands‑on mechanical and electrical workshop skills.
- Strong communicator, self‑motivated, driven and persistent to achieve demanding targets.
- Systemise critical outputs in drawings, work instructions, FMEAs and control plans.
Work Pattern
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00.
- Friday: 08:30 – 14:30.
