We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, performing pre-installation checks, coordinating on-site activities for larger projects, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Surveys
- Book and organise site surveys, including travel arrangements
- Accurately measure and assess site apertures to ensure product compatibility
- Design products to meet both functional requirements and aesthetic standards
- Ensure all customer requirements are clearly documented and met
- Maintain compliance with building regulations and system parameters
- Communicate client requirements effectively to internal teams
- Manage client correspondence and produce detailed reports in line with company procedures
- Arrange and attend pre-installation site visits
- Identify and report any issues that may affect upcoming installations
- Assess site access and highlight any relevant health & safety considerations
- Advise clients on any required preparatory works prior to installation
- Maintain clear communication with clients
- Produce reports and follow internal processes
- Attend site to organise and support installation teams where required
- Ensure installations are carried out safely and efficiently
- Confirm site setting out aligns with technical drawings
- Follow company procedures for method statements and risk assessments
- Attend pre-contract, design, and project management meetings as required
- Accurately record and communicate key discussion points and actions
- Represent the company professionally, ensuring working practices and products are clearly explained to clients
- Conduct site visits to identify potential hazards
- Recommend and implement corrective actions
- Prepare detailed method statements and risk assessments
- Ensure all relevant staff are informed of site risks and safety measures
About You
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Experience in surveying, construction, or glazing (preferred)
