Overview of role
To increase production in our very busy Rackheath based manufacturing plant. To meet demand for our range of high specification double glazing products. To ensure all goods out and in are correct for quantity and quality. To be seen as a fabricator who carries out their work to the highest standards. Using cutting sheets, CAD drawings and your own initiative you will be required to produce high quality aluminium glazing products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Knowing what needs preparing each week for external suppliers.
- Knowing what needs fabricating on a week to week basis and ensuring all jobs are complete when helping in a manufacturing department.
- Ensuring jobs are completed on time and within production time allowed.
- Reporting to Production Supervisor any problems within the department.
- Listening and learning from the other fabricators in any department to increase your manufacturing abilities.
- Making sure all paperwork related to goods in and out are correctly filled in to ensure smooth running of department.
- Manufacturing aluminium glazing products within the warehouse.
- Following company procedures.
- Assisting in all departments to meet fabricating deadlines and helping Lead fabricators.
- Unloading of delivery vehicles and checking correct goods are delivered.
- Preparing and checking all hand assembled parts are correct and the highest quality for our products.
- Ensuring all goods in are correct at point of delivery and reporting any discrepancies.
- Ensuring the working environment is clean and tidy for a safe working area.
