Overview: Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB.ORG), a division of Innovative Blood Resources, has been saving and sustaining lives since 1968. We are dedicated to connecting people who need life-saving blood with generous volunteers who give. Operating 4 donor centers and conducting dozens of blood drives each month, we are proud to be an independent nonprofit that supplies over 20 area hospitals and clinics with life-saving blood—from our community, for our community.
Responsibilities: $2500 Sign-on Bonus
Our DOT driver at Nebraska Community Blood Bank provides a unique opportunity to use a range of your CDL skills by transporting bloodmobiles as well as employing customer service skills to ensure successful blood drives. Drivers will ensure safe and on-time delivery of the vehicle to the scheduled site followed by end-of-day returns to the garage. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies on vehicles and ensures that vehicles are clean. Performs customer service roles during blood drives. Completes all duties professionally, including transporting units, samples, and donor medical records to the processing center.
Schedule: Hours vary between 5:00 am - 10:00 pm with rotating weekends. Flexible schedule needed. Local driving, home nightly.
Job Responsibilities: Upon completion of your paid training, you will be able to:
- Prepare, transport, unload, load, and return vehicles before and after assigned blood drives.
- Begin Day: Mobile preparation and site setup for a blood drive.
- During Drive: Providing customer service, on-site recruiting for donors, and automation recruitment.
- End of Drive: Site takedown and safe transport of products to the center.
- Ensure exceptional customer service for donors and sponsors.

- Maintain and promote interdepartmental teamwork and communication.
- Demonstrate flexibility, versatility, and willingness to assist coworkers.
- Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and cooperation.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- License: Valid/Current CDL (Class A or Class B w/ Airbrakes).
- Current Medical Card / ability to pass a DOT Physical.
- Physical: Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Preferred Skills: 2 years driving trucks, buses, coaches, or larger cargo vehicles. Excellent driving record free of any accidents or moving violations within the past 3 years. Customer service experience. Defensive driving skills.
