Innovation Forum is a purpose-driven business based in London, committed to making sustainability mainstream in business. We host industry-leading business conferences, publish in-depth analysis, and deliver stakeholder engagement, research and communications services. Our work spans critical sustainability challenges across global supply chains, helping business leaders drive meaningful change. Innovation Forum events are off-the-record gatherings where senior business leaders, sustainability practitioners, and on-the-ground experts can speak honestly about what’s working and what isn’t.

The role involves independently leading on the content, production, and marketing for two of our flagship events: the Future of Food and Beverage USA and Sustainable Commodities and Landscapes Forum. You’ll be responsible for the entire process: researching the most pressing sustainability issues within food, agricultural, and commodity supply chains, developing the agendas, inviting speakers, and driving the marketing to reach the right audiences. A passion for sustainability in the food and ag space is essential, as is an interest in business and a commercial mindset.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research and build two-day conference agendas that reflect the sustainability challenges and business opportunities within food and agricultural supply chains.
  • Prospect, confirm, and develop relationships with senior speakers from corporates, NGOs, policy, farming associations and other relevant industry bodies.
  • Design innovative and dynamic session formats, such as debate rooms and workshops, to maximise impact and attendee engagement at the forum.
  • Create, implement and own the marketing plan for the conference to grow ticket sales and event revenue.
  • Stay on top of market research and competitors to ensure IF events are positioned at the forefront.
  • Coordinate and contribute to supporting research and publishing, including written content, podcasts and webinars.
  • Work closely with relevant team members throughout the conference lifecycle.

You’ll be rewarded for your performance, whilst being given responsibility for your own success. The role will focus on in-person business conferences in cities such as Amsterdam and within the USA. Occasional travel will be required.

What we are looking for:

  • Organisation: Ability to manage your time effectively to set and meet deadlines and coordinate fast-moving deliverables with stakeholders throughout the conference lifecycle.
  • Strong research skills: Interest in food and ag sustainability and quick to identify and understand industry trends and challenges.
  • Strong writing skills: Ability to create a compelling and engaging conference agenda with punchy, concise copy.
  • Excellent communication skills: Acting as the primary point of contact with speakers, attendees and other conference partners.
  • Positive and pragmatic approach: Calm and collected when operating under pressure.

What’s in it for you:

  • Work as part of a fun, friendly and supportive team.
  • Real responsibility and autonomy from day one.
  • Build your knowledge and network in sustainability.

The Package:

  • Competitive base salary, dependent on experience.
  • Uncapped bonus scheme tied to event performance.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional day of holiday accrued each year (up to 28 days after five years).
  • Company shutdown over Christmas.
  • Hybrid working with a minimum of 5 days in-office across two weeks.
  • Summer hours: half-day Fridays over summer.
  • Office perks such as monthly breakfasts, after-work drinks, and weekly cake.
  • Occasional travel to Amsterdam, Minneapolis, and other event cities.
