Role Description Painters at Innovation Decorating Solutions are responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and completing painting and decorating tasks to agreed specifications and timelines. Day-to-day work includes surface cleaning, sanding, patching, priming, and applying paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, as well as ensuring tools and materials are maintained in good condition. Painters coordinate with project leads and clients to understand requirements, follow safety guidelines, and document completed work and materials used. This is a contract role and is performed remotely, with assignments that may include on-site work at client locations as needed, depending on project requirements and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Paint, Painting, and Painting and Decorating for a range of surfaces and environments.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in Coatings, including knowledge of different coating types and their appropriate applications.
- Candidates should possess hands-on skills in Spray Painting, including safe operation of spray equipment and achieving consistent coverage.
- Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with surface preparation, masking and cleanup, and basic color matching and finishing techniques.
- Candidates should have an understanding of workplace safety practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
- Prior experience in residential, commercial, or industrial painting projects is beneficial; relevant trade certifications or apprenticeships are an advantage.
- Candidates should be able to work independently, manage time effectively, follow project instructions, and communicate clearly with clients and team members.
