Weβre looking for a Test Engineer to join our Manufacturing team and play a key role in the testing and diagnostics of complex electronic sub-systems and circuit cards. This role offers hands-on involvement across the product lifecycle and a valuable opportunity to directly contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our advanced defence products.
Responsibilities
- Provide Test Engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and development to production release.
- Define and support the introduction of test facilities, including developing test specifications, procedures, and operator instructions.
- Carry out hands-on testing and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and circuit cards, investigating and resolving test failures down to component level.
- Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to address technical issues and support timely delivery of programmes.
- Ensure effective configuration control of test equipment and facilities prior to use.
- Record test results and manage non-conformance reports using manufacturing systems such as SAP and MES.
Skills & Experience
- HNC or higher qualification (HND/Degree preferred) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge of electronic measurement, test techniques, and fault-finding at component level.
- Experience working with both manual and automated test equipment, ideally in a defence or complex manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) for tracking test activities and reporting.
