Our client is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to lead full lifecycle development of advanced power electronics systems. You will manage requirements, architecture and control strategy development, functional design, integration, and verification.

Join a forward-thinking engineering team developing cutting edge power systems including inverters, converters, motor drives, and power distribution solutions. This role focuses on end-to-end systems engineering for high performance platforms used across marine, aerospace, and defence applications.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and refine system architectures, functional designs, and integration plans.
  • Own requirements management from capture through to validation and verification.
  • Define system behaviours such as power-on modes, diagnostics, and fail-safes.
  • Lead interface definition and ensure seamless system handovers across teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders and guide technical decisions.
  • Conduct system safety analysis and compliance testing.
  • Promote reuse of proven technologies and scalable engineering solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Systems Engineering (or similar).
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle.
  • Skilled in requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS, Polarion, Jama).
  • Comfortable tailoring engineering processes to fit project scale and complexity.
  • Familiar with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.
