We're looking for a Power Systems Engineer to design and simulate high-performance electronic systems used in sectors like defence, aerospace, and marine. You'll focus on developing efficient and reliable circuits such as inverters, converters, and motor drives using modelling tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and LTspice.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and build power circuits (e.g., DC-DC, AC-DC, motor control)
  • Model and simulate system behaviour to predict and optimise performance
  • Support testing and analyse results to refine designs
  • Integrate hardware with control systems across multidisciplinary teams
  • Create clear design documentation and specifications
  • Research and apply emerging tech to enhance existing designs

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, with focus on power electronics
  • Skilled in circuit design and modelling tools (MATLAB, Simulink, LTspice)
  • Strong understanding of component selection, control strategies, and system-level design
  • Experience with high-efficiency power electronics and digital control
  • Bonus: familiarity with EMI/thermal considerations and experience in regulated industries (e.g., defence, aerospace)
