My client, an industry leader renowned for delivering advanced IT solutions and infrastructure across multiple sectors, is seeking a Infrastructure & Networking Engineer with eDV (enhanced Developed Vetting) to join their growing team in Cheltenham. About the Role In this exciting position, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing critical IT systems. Your responsibilities will include: Managing system-level hardware and network infrastructure. Overseeing server and network selection, as well as Linux/Unix administration. Conducting architecture documentation, design reviews, and requirements documentation. Validating test processes and ensuring end-to-end system quality from design to in-service support. Addressing problem and incident management in cloud and data centre environments. The “ideal” candidate will bring: Expertise with Cisco Nexus, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. A deep understanding of data center technologies, including VDC, vPC, VXLAN, FEX, OTV, and the Nexus Dashboard. Experience with cloud architecture, with AWS being a plus. Familiarity with tools such as Cisco Catalyst switches, Terraform, Ansible, and Thousand Eyes (desirable).
