We’re looking for a skilled Senior Technical Operator who thrives on tackling complex issues, keeping production lines running smoothly, and supporting continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out advanced preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure machines meet targets for efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Support new initiatives, programs, and production changeovers across bottling and packaging equipment (fillers, labellers, UV lamps, etc.).
- Deliver both planned and corrective asset care in line with the maintenance execution plan (MEP).
- Use the site’s CMMS to record maintenance activities accurately and ensure asset performance data is kept up to date.
- Conduct QESH checks to maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Take part in shift handovers, safety briefings, and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow site safety procedures at all times, helping to maintain a zero-accident culture.
What you’ll need:
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering and an HNC (Electrical).
- Time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience maintaining high-speed packaging or bottling line equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on complex automated machinery.
- Familiarity with maintenance planning systems (CMMS) and asset care programs.
- Background in FMCG or other fast-paced manufacturing environments is advantageous.
