Join a leading defence engineering team and shape the integration of complex electrical systems in a next-generation weapon platform. You won’t be buried in circuit design. Instead, you’ll take ownership of the bigger picture—making sure electrical systems, equipment, and suppliers all align to deliver a safe, high-performing, and fully integrated solution. You’ll act as the key link between the overall system and the teams designing the equipment, translating high-level requirements into clear electrical expectations—and ensuring they’re delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main technical point of contact between the system and equipment suppliers
  • Ensure all electrical interfaces and subsystems work together seamlessly
  • Support integration, testing, and final acceptance of equipment
  • Define and manage electrical requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Own and manage supplier work packages (Statements of Work)
  • Lead technical reviews and key project milestones (e.g. design reviews)
  • Track supplier delivery against cost, schedule, performance, and quality
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams (systems, mechanical, software, power)
  • Identify risks early and put mitigation plans in place
  • Make smart decisions on re-use vs. new design
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering and integration
  • Experience working with system or equipment-level requirements
  • Background in electrical systems, integration, or power distribution
  • Experience working with suppliers or managing technical packages
  • Familiarity with verification, validation, and certification processes
  • Confident communicator, able to influence technical decisions
  • Experience producing technical documentation
  • Practical understanding of electrical systems (wiring, power, interfaces), even if not hands-on
