Contract opportunity for an initial 6-week contract with potential for ongoing work at £35 per hour, outside IR35. The role involves a 4 on, 4 off rotation (days & nights). Available immediately or at short notice for a contract position.

I am looking to speak with experienced maintenance engineers, either multi-skilled or electrically biased, for a new contract position with a company based in the Glasgow region. You will be required to work alongside the existing team of maintenance engineers on both reactive and preventative tasks in supporting the facilities distribution activities.

The client, a large manufacturing business, needs additional support for a minimum of 6 weeks with the strong possibility of ongoing work. You will be working in partnership with the existing permanent engineering team to maintain a variety of distribution equipment including conveyors and wrappers.

Key requirements:
  • Proven experience of working in a similar maintenance engineering role
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability and willingness to work on both reactive and PPM jobs
  • Previous experience of working at height; qualifications/certifications in this field would be highly beneficial
  • Specific experience in automated systems is beneficial but not required, such as with ASRS systems
