Job Title: Systems Design Engineer
Location: Bristol (relocation package may be available)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, typically 3-4 days on-site per week due to workload classification
Role Overview
As a Systems Design Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development and enhancement of Command and Control (C2) systems for advanced air solutions. This role involves designing and upgrading in-service systems for extended use, as well as creating new solutions for integration with customer platforms.
You will work on systems that provide operators with essential tools to interpret complex environments, manage systems, and execute engagements. The C2 system optimises responses, calculates engagement strategies, and manages communications during operations. Deliverables include processing units, user interfaces, safety controls, maintenance tools, and training systems.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with system and software architects to support C2 software design.
Analyse system requirements and interfaces to propose design improvements.
Study and enhance complex algorithms to meet system performance goals.
Develop requirements for software and hardware components.
Address customer queries and provide solutions.
