Role Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader to drive the technical direction of Electronic and Electrical teams within the Naval Defence sector. This role combines hands on leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring delivery of innovative, high quality solutions for naval and sonar systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performing, inclusive team.
• Guide resource planning, capability growth, and technical development.
• Improve engineering processes, governance, and delivery standards.
• Collaborate across domains to align engineering with project goals.
• Provide oversight on bids and projects, ensuring technical excellence.
• Support regulatory, export control, and compliance initiatives.
• Champion full-lifecycle design with a focus on quality, cost, and supportability.

What You Bring:

• Strong background in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, ideally in defence.
• Proven team leadership with a focus on inclusion and growth.
• Strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder and customer engagement skills.
• Knowledge of lifecycle engineering, regulatory standards, and innovation trends.
